Seafood Hangover at the Atlantic Fish Company – 新鮮海鮮吃到宿醉!

Not sure if we’ve made this clear. We have a small problem. It’s a common issue with many people, but for us it’s in an advanced stage.

不太確定我們之前有沒有提過,我們兩個都有些問題,但這問題許多人都有,不過對我們而言,這個問題好像一生無法解決。

We love seafood. For Mikey it’s a obsession. For Micky it’s a tragedy. It wasn’t even two hours into our trip and Micky was already making comments like ‘I wonder if I’ll EVER eat Lobster in Boston’ or ‘Do you think they have good scallops in Boston?’ – The answer is YES to both by the way!

其實是…我們太喜歡吃海鮮了!對Mikey只是個小癮,但是海鮮對我而言,根本是不可或缺的食物!就連才剛下飛機兩個小時,米奇就已經在問說:不知道我們何時才能在Boston吃到龍蝦?或是說了:你覺得Boston有好吃的干貝嗎?

Micky was extremely excited to head to the Atlantic Fish Company and the pic below shows just that. Part of the fun of going out is getting dressed up for a night-on-the-town!

在決定要去Atlantic Fish Co吃龍蝦前,米奇整個就是非常的興奮又開心!你看看下面的照片,就可以看到她有多麼的期待XD 有時候出門我們用餐,最喜歡的就是穿上新衣服或是喜歡的衣服,像是重回情侶時要出門約會一樣!

We hadn’t originally planned on going to Atlantic Fish Company and actually had a pretty interesting experience determining where to go for dinner this night. But as you will see from the pictures below – it was a decision well-made!

其實當初我們並沒有計畫到Atlantic Fish Co用餐,但也是許多人推薦我們到Atlantic Fish Co,我們本來堅持要按照原定的計畫走,可是發生了一件非常有趣的事情,改變了我們的想法和決定用餐的地點!才在最後一秒緊急請我們旅館的管家取消另家餐廳的預約改成Atlantic Fish Co。

What is a night out without going for a quick cocktail! The bar in the Lenox Hotel is called City Bar – posh, stylish and affordable – this is a great spot to start the night off!

通常呢,我們兩個都會在用餐時間前,先找間離餐廳很近的bar,喜歡兩人小酌一杯,聊聊天,講些肉麻的話(唉額,結婚一年半還算是新婚夫妻嘛XD)。因為餐廳離飯店很近,所以我們決定直接到位於飯店大廳的City Bar,是間非常精緻時尚的酒吧。題外話,那時候Mikey問門房先生從飯店到餐廳要多久的時候,他很幽默的說:走快點5秒鐘,慢慢走30秒。可見餐廳離我們的飯店有多近了吧XD

After quick Old Fashion and Tequila Sunrise, we were on our way. Having not eaten a good breakfast, and a small lunch we approached this meal like the Last Supper!

兩人在喝完酒也情話綿綿完(咦?)之後,立刻前往餐廳。因為我們兩個都沒有吃早餐,午餐也是隨便吃了一點,所以特別期待今晚的海鮮大餐!

We started the night off with a bottle of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc – which is a subtle, fruity blend – Something that works really well with a evening of fresh seafood!

Mikey很貼心的點了一瓶Kim Crawford的Sauvignon Blanc,Sauvignon Blanc是我的愛酒,喜歡它那帶有濃濃水果味、不會過甜也不苦澀的味道。而Sauvignon Blanc搭配今晚的海鮮又剛剛好!

It didn’t take us long to get our meal straightened out. First off we decided to go with local oysters. The ones you see below are Wellfleet Oysters from Wellfleet, Maine. They were a fine balance between a meaty and creamy oyster!

前菜我們點了半打當地的生蠔分食,生蠔新不新鮮真的一嚐就知道,加上師傅的好手藝,切的乾乾淨淨沒有殘殼!

Micky “needed” to try the shrimp cocktail and these guys were not to disappoint. These shrimps were HUGE!

菜單上的超大蝦子更是不可以放過!要是沒有蝦子應該就是米奇的世界末日了XD 你看看~蝦子有沒有很大!!

So we need to make some obvious here – we ordered WAY too much food. For an appetizer Mikey decided to go with their Lobster Crab Louie with avocado, endive and tomato!  The creamy texture of the avocado and the sweetness of the crab/tomato make for a great flavour train. This is one dish that shouldn’t be missed!

結果,我們點太多太多食物了(真的是餓過頭),前菜我們還多點了一個Lobster Crab Louie,就像下圖一樣,裡面有龍蝦、螃蟹、蕃茄、酪梨以及萵苣。這道菜我們都推薦來Atlantic Fish Co是必點,不吃可惜!

Micky, well, decided to eat a X% of her own body weight and went with a 2lb Maine Lobster with corn on the cob and potatoes that were baked and stuffed with crabmeat! 

在主菜方面,當天米奇根本就是失心瘋了!點了是她體重的1/X的 2磅龍蝦大餐 – 副餐為新鮮玉米、馬鈴薯搭上蟹肉(龍蝦上面那層就是)。

Mikey went a bit more low-key and decided to go with the San Francisco Cioppino which consisted of lobster, shrimp, clams, fish, scallops and mussels simmered in a spicy saffron shellfish broth! Honestly – this was one of my (Mikey) favourite meals – EVER. The richness of the broth was the best part!

而Mikey決定走低調路線,他則點了San Francisco Cioppino,有點像是海鮮大雜匯那樣,裡面有龍蝦、蟹肉、蝦子、蛤蠣、魚肉、淡菜以及干貝。根本就是所有的海鮮都吃到了!這道菜更是Mikey推薦的必點。(蓋章)看下面他那搞怪的開心表情就可以知道他有多滿足XD

After eating three apps and two mains – we were stuffed. I know what we are about to say is blasphemy – but we didn’t even order dessert! Honestly, we literally rolled our way back to the hotel after a short stroll around Boston’s Back Bay. Here are a few pics of the amazing space that makes up Atlantic Fish Company. There seemed to be a healthy mix of locals and tourists – which is a sure sign that the restaurant not only has a great reputation, but also delivers on taste!

在三道前菜以前兩道主餐之後,我們根本飽到炸了,沒有肚子空間點任何的甜點,都有種海鮮醉(就像酒醉那種感覺),隔天還「宿醉」,就可以知道我們海鮮吃到有害怕的境界!旅行的時候,我們都喜歡盡量找當地人會去的餐廳,Atlantic Fish似乎是參雜著當地人以及旅客。吃完後兩個人飽到根本不想動,連回飯店短短5秒的路程都嫌長…
